Michael Jackson video game?

Ok, everyone who knows me knows that i am a huge video game fan. I love all kinds of video game consoles and certain game franchises. so when i checked out the news for the new video game i was excited.

Michael Jackson's estate has authorized the making of a video game allowing players to sing and dance to the king of pop's biggest hits! how many of us imagined ourselves in the king's shoes? doing the moonwalk as we dance in our homes and pretending to be the king is everyone's dream...lol

the video game, which is still unnamed, is slated for release this holiday season. it is also one of the first games to use a motion detecting camera system. there are conflicting rumors as to what console it will be released on. most have said that it will be released on PS3 and xbox 360. there have been reports that it will also be released on the Wii

i can't wait to try this game out! This game will give anyone who plays it the opportunity to become an icon. an icon who influenced millions of people for many decades. my only question is....can you beat it?

School Rescinds Enrollment Because Parents Are Lesbians

In my last blog post I said that there is nothing that ever surprises me. Well I now stand corrected....sit corrected but you get my point. A Massachusetts school has rescinded its admission offer to a young boy because his parents are lesbians. Now it's one thing to discriminate against the LGBT community, but when it affects young children it's totally uncalled for.

The parents in this particular case had already gone through orientation and open house with the school. They did not try to hide the fact about their sexuality from the school. The school knew about it the whole time and did not say anything until they had a conference call with the parents rescinding the offer. The school claims to have come to the decision because the parents' sexuality does not agree with the Roman Catholic teachings.

Children should not be denied an education just based solely on their parents' sexuality. It is not the children's fault so why should they be punished for something that is out of their control. Discrimination against the LGBT community is something we are used to. Discrimination against children is something that should not happen, they are innocent. The children deserve to have the same opportunities provided to them as those of children whose parents are heterosexuals.

Some day I hope to see religions come to realize that their higher power does not want them to hate others. God, no matter what religion you are, does not teach hate. There may be a few out there, like Satanism, but for the most part it is true. God wants us to love, not hate. More people would believe and participate in religion if people would realize this. I hope to see more acceptance in my lifetime. I know it's a slow treacherous road, but I am willing to walk that road.....are you?

George Rekers and His Gay Massage Boy

In this day and age, nothing seems to amaze me. Not even when someone who is anti-gay doing something some would call “so gay” So when I read the story of George Rekers, I was half expecting it. If not from him, then from some other anti-gay person.
For those of you who don’t know who George Rekers is, I will tell you a little bit about him. He was one of the founding members of Family Research Council, a conservative Christian right group that lobbies against homosexuality. He is also an officer of NARTH (National Association of Research & Therapy of Homosexuality). This organization is formerly known as the National Association of Research & Treatment of Homosexuality. It offers conversion therapy and other regimens to change the sexual preference of person.
Now for someone with that kind of background, we would normally expect them to nice upstanding citizens. Well this “upstanding citizen” found it necessary to contact an escort service and hire a gay escort to go on a 10 day vacation in Europe. Now the escort was supposedly hired to carry Rekers’ luggage and administer a nude massage everyday to Rekers. This daily nude massage included a move called the “long stroke”! Now now now, get your minds out of the gutters people. The “long stroke” is a move the escort says “is a complicated caress across the penis, thigh…and his anus over the buttocks”. Apparently Rekers liked to be rubbed down there.
Ok, I know what your saying…that’s this guy is gayer than a $2 bill. But he professes he is not homosexual. He is a southern Baptist minister that was only taking the gay escort with him to show him the true path to god and to attempt to convert him. We have all heard stories about conversion therapy, most of which are not so nice. Since when does talking to someone about how god can make then see the light require you to get a nude massage…..a nude massage that requires the masseuse to caress their thighs, penis and butt. Give me a break already.
This guy is so in the closet and hates himself for it. That is the reason I think he is so anti-gay. He hates himself so much that he wants to rid the world of what he truly is. All because some idiot told him that what he is, is a sin and abomination against god. What he needs to realize is that is just not true. Being gay is okay and we should not try to force people to change who they are. We are who we are for a reason, and that reason is for the creator to decide. It is not up to some homophobic, conservative southern Baptist bigot to decide.

Ricky Martin's Coming Out Story For Sale

Ok, let's all agree that we have known that Ricky Martin was gay the second he first performed "La Vida Loca"...mmmmkkkkk? I'm not surprised at his coming out, but I am surprised at the fact that he was offered $20 million for his life/coming out story. I mean really? I'm sure it would be an interesting story but in my opinion it is not worth $20 million. Ricky Martin may be an interesting person but i would bet that if he wasn't a celebrity his coming out story would probably only be worth $1000.

Why do celebrities think that because they are/were famous that we all need to know details of their life? Now I'm not try to put Ricky down, I liked some of his music when it came out. He's not a bad person and I'm glad he found the courage to come out. By doing so he will hopefully serve as a role model to those who are still in the closet.

I know when I came out, it was nice to have people around me that were accepting and open minded. I just think that his story should be told just not at that kind of price. If he thinks by coming out that he will get more fans, I think he may be mistaken. If he wants to use this as a springboard to get more fans, he should do it the old fashioned way and be real. Help someone else going through the same thing, and people will like him because of who he is not what song he sings.
